January 27th, 2010Interviews, Jennifer Aspen, NewsYesterday I was lucky enough to have a phone chat with the lovely Jennifer Aspen, who is know no way like Kendra, the character she plays on Glee. We talked about how Terri and Kendra should have their own web series, the explosive new plot line Terri and Kendra have, what Matthew Morrison is like and more!
Below are some questions. The rest will appear in the book Don’t Stop Believin: The Unofficial Guide to Glee, which will hit shelves in September 2010!
Do you enjoy playing such a conniving and crazy person?
I love being Kendra. She’s crazy and she’s totally knows it. With her, I completely become her. Once I get into the wardrobe, it’s like I flip a switch and I’m a nut. Her wardrobe is insane, so it makes for a great gateway. It’s incredibly fun and there’s a lot of freedom with a character like Kendra. You can say anything and it works. It’s so easy to riff off the character and improvise.

January 16th, 2010Awards, Interviews, News, Video Interviews, VideosThe Golden Globes are tomorrow and I can’t wait! Neither can our favorite Gleeks. They chatted with E! Online about being able to attend, how cool it was to win the People’s Choice Award, and more. Ryan Murphy chats about the Madonna episode and a few upcoming guest stars.
Everyone is very gushy and flattered, which is nice, but get to the good stuff: what are they going to wear?! I love that Jane is working with a relatively unknown designer. I hope she rocks the red carpet!
Cory is adorable. “Dude, I like you for liking my show.” Adorable.
The Golden Globes air this Sunday at 8pm on NBC. Be sure to watch the red carpet pre-shows to catch our favorite Gleeks working the red carpet.

January 9th, 2010Amber Riley, Cast, Chris Colfer, Cory Monteith, Interviews, Jenna Ushkowitz, Lea Michele, Mark Salling, News, Video Interviews, VideosThe cast of Glee did a fun interview with Just So You Know. Dianna Agron, Chris Colfer, Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Amber Riley, Kevin McHale, Mark Salling and Jenna Ushkowitz chatted about who they’d like to see get a slushie facial, what songs are on their iPod, how they survived high school, and more.
Just So You Know originally aired this video in early December, but i didn’t hit YouTube until this week! The cast of Glee is so adorable, they all seem to get along. I wonder why Chris wants to slushie Amber though. Is it just a joke or is there some back story there?

December 31st, 2009Episodes, Interviews, Music, Original Song, Ryan MurphyRyan Murphy sat down with Billboard and revealed one of the juiciest tidbits for the back nine episodes yet — one of them will feature all original music!

“I’ve had a lot of calls from songwriters, to the point where it’s kind of embarrassing and ridiculous,” he told the website. “So we’re writing an episode called ‘Original Song’ where the teacher asks the kids to write their own piece of music. Diane Warren is going to do two big ballads, and if it works, we’ll see what happens . . . but we won’t do it all the time.”
One of the contributing song writers will be Ryan Tedder of One Republic. Ryan’s music has already been featured on Glee — he wrote Beyonce’s “Halo.”
He told Idolator.com:
Glee is actually my new addiction. I download every episode. They actually just approached me. Adam Anders, the guy who does all the music, approached me about two weeks ago to do original music for the next season. So I’m gonna be doing at least one song for the next season that’s original.
I like the idea of an episode dedicated to original music. It’s going to be fun to see what original songs they envision for each character. What kind of song would Rachel write? Finn? Kurt? Quinn? It’s going to be amazing! However, I’m not a fan of including original music in the show becoming a regular thing. One of the joys of Glee is seeing how Ryan Murphy and his music masterminds interpret popular songs for the show.
What do you think? Is original music a good move?

December 28th, 2009Cast, Chris Colfer, Cory Monteith, Interviews, Matthew Morrison, NewsMatthew Morrison, Cory Monteith and Chris Colfer interview each other in this cute segment for AOL TV’s Outside the Box. They answered questions submitted by fans and questions they just wanted to know about each other.
Find out Matthew’s childhood crush, Chris’s favorite Glee song, their favorite television song themes (guess who loves Knight Rider?), Cory’s worst audition ever, and lots about the show!
They are so cute together. I wonder what it’s like on set at Glee when the cameras aren’t rolling. I love Matthew’s desire to see a Will/Emma sex scene – that would be interesting!

December 27th, 2009Cast, Harry Shum Jr., Interviews, NewsHarry Shum Jr., the dancer cum actor who plays the shy Mike Chung on Glee (so shy he didn’t speak until “Sectionals!) sat down with Clevver TV. They talked about his dance background, being on a Golden Globes-nominated show, his musical theatre background and more.
Did you know he was born in Costa Rica and that Spanish was his first language? So cool.
I love Harry. He’s such a great dancer and adds a lot to Glee. He promises us we’ll see more Mike Chang and I can’t wait!
