The cast of Glee stepped out for the GLAAD Awards in Los Angeles last night. The show scooped up yet another trophy when it took home outstanding television comedy series. And no wonder: one main character is gay, two supporting characters are dabbling in lesbianism (as lipstick as it may be. It, I believe, is a pretty accurate portrayal of high school girls), the creator, Ryan Murphy, is gay, the mainest main character has two (unseen) gay dads, two of the main cast members are openly gay (Chris Colfer and Jane Lynch), and at least two guest stars are openly gay as well (Jonathan Groff and Neil Patrick Harris). How could this show not get some love from GLAAD?
The cast looked gorgeous, as always, walking the red carpet and picking up their prize! Not everyone could make it out last night: Mark, Lea, Matt and Jayma were all MIA. It was a busy day for everyone, as some of the cast also stopped by the TV Land Awards earlier that day to take home Glee’s trophy for “Future Classic.”

March 28th, 2010Cast, Cory Monteith, Events, Jane Lynch, Lea Michele, PhotosCory Monteith and Lea Michele were at the Kids’ Choice Awards last night! The twosome presented the Favorite TV Actor, which went to Dylan Sprouse. “Heading to the kids choice awards soon! hopefully I get to pick the winning booger out of a giant nose,
’cause I hear that’s how they roll,” Cory tweeted before the show.Jane was there too, but she didn’t have any work to do. She just walked the red carpet and enjoyed the show! Glee wasn’t nominated for anything, but it was fun to see Lea and Cory at the show! Neither got slimed. Cory twittered he was disappointed he avoided the slime! Poor guy! Maybe next year!

March 22nd, 2010Cast, Events, Jessalyn GilsigJessalyn Gilsig looked gorgeous (as always) at the 24th annual Genesis Awards on Friday night. The Genesis Awards celebrate media and entertainment outlets who raise public awareness of animal issues. As a vegan, these awards make me happy and it is great to see one of my fave actresses out supporting the cause! If you’re interested, check out the list of winners here.
Jessalyn also presented an award, taking the stage with Modern Family’s Eric Stonestreet. Eric plays Cam on the hilarious show. If you don’t watch it, you totally should. It used to complete with on Wednesdays, but won’t anymore!

March 17th, 2010Cast, Cory MonteithCory’s been a busy guy filming the last few episodes of Glee, but he still manages to squeeze in some fun! On Monday night, he celebrated the grand opening of the latest West Hollywood hot spot, Industry. He looked cool and casual in jeans and tee and a tough leather jacket.
Ah, the Hollywood life. Attending all these parties and events must get exhausting.

March 8th, 2010EventsCory and Lea attended the infamous Elton John post-Oscar bash. They both look amazing, but her dress is a bit much, no? Elton’s party is black tie, but she wasn’t at the ceremony.

February 7th, 2010Cast, Events, Naya RiveraThe Glee gang headed to Vegas last night to celebrate Naya Rivera’s 23rd birthday at Jet nightclub! Her actual birthday was January 12th, but January was a busy month, filled with filming and awards shows. Let’s hope they cute loose and had a good time! Mark, Jenna, Heather, Kyle and Naya made the trip. Looks like the rest of the Gleeks still had to work!
I hope Heather got in on the celebrations as well! Her own 23rd birthday was February 1st!
Love the dress, Naya, but what’s with the boots. Cute, but they don’t go together!

February 1st, 2010Cast, Events, Lea MicheleLea Michele looked gorgeous at the Grammys last night in a one-shouldered midnight blue dress. It was fun to see her get a little sassy on the red carpet after all those ballgowns.
Lea presented the award for “Best Female Pop Vocal” with Ricky Martin. Yes, that’s a very odd pairing and it showed when the two hit the stage. Beyonce took home the prize, which is exciting. Two of her songs have been featured on Glee so far–”Single Ladies” and “Halo” and Destiny Child’s “Bootylicious” was performed too. I wonder if we’ll see any more Beyonce on the back nine? Lea could rock “If I Were A Boy” like nobody’s business.
Here’s a cute video of Lea talking to Ryan.

Last night, the men behind the camera got a chance to shine at the Directors Guild of America Awards. Ryan Murphy was nominated for “Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Comedy Series” for his work on the Glee pilot and Paris Barclay grabbed a nom for “Wheels.” Both men lost out to Jason Weiner for the pilot episode of Modern Family. See the complete list of winners here.
Despite the loss, the cast was a major win on the red carpet! Matthew Morrison and Lea Michele were presenters last night. Lea oozed sophistication in a nude dress and red lips where Matt opted for a modern tuxedo. Jesslany came out to support Ryan too and looked fantastic in a strapless gold dress. None of the other cast members made it out, which is too bad. I love seeing the cast dressed up!
Be sure to tune into the Grammys tonight! Lea is a presenter!

January 26th, 2010Cast, Charity, Dianna Agron, EventsDianna Agron is one busy Glee gal! This weekend she spent some time helping out at the Youth Run 4 Haiti organized by Josh Duhamels. 3,000 people showed up to take part in the 2 mile run in Santa Monica, which raised thousands of dollars for the earthquake stricken nation.
Even when Dianna is out running she looks adorable!
Here’s a cute video where Dianna is interviewed about the run:

I love awards season, don’t you? It’s so much fun to see my favorite stars decked out in fancy dresses and tuxedos. Earlier tonight, the Glee gang stepped out on the red carpet for the Screen Actors Guild Awards ceremony. These awards are given to actors by their peers, which makes them pretty special. Glee is up for Best Ensemble in a Television Series Comedy or Musical.
Lea opted for a grown-up glam green dress. It’s not as out there as her Golden Globes dress, but it’s a great choice. The color looks amazing on her!
